Comadre Panadería is a Mexican American bakery in Austin, Texas, created by Mariela Camacho: daughter of Mexican immigrants, professional baker of almost two decades, former punk/hardcore musician, & lover of dogs. Our artisan breads are the culmination of years of hard work, ancestral knowledge, and whole, nutrient rich, responsibly farmed and harvested (and tasty) ingredients.
We exist to nourish our customers’ bodies & souls, to provide a living wage for ourselves & our employees, and to champion ethical and organic foodways locally and beyond.

Supporting ethical and organic food ways and paying our staff a living wage in an increasingly unaffordable and exclusive city is a challenge we have accepted, and we refuse to compromise on our values.
